Reading Skills

Our reading skills lessons in the first half-term are based on a modern classic – Journey to the River Sea.  We focus in on retrieval, vocabulary and inference question types and strategies.

In the second half-term we link our reading skills lessons to our English book – Stormbreaker.  Alongside our continued focus on retrieval, vocabulary and inference we consider an author’s choice of language and summarising.
