Welcome

Dear Parents/Carers

Firstly, can I say a thank you to you all for working with us and being patient, supportive and understanding during this uncertain time. There is a great deal of media attention covering the coronavirus in school and workplaces.  We receive regular information from Public Health England (PHE) and our Multi Academy Trust and will be guided by them in terms of the steps we need to take to protect the children.  Our first priority, as ever, is the health and well being of our children, staff and families who make up our St Bart’s school community. We are continuing to work as a team to ensure that we sustain continuity for the children as much as possible whilst taking a number of safety measures and precautions.

Due to current staffing levels, circumstances are such that we cannot provide all children with the appropriate learning provision and health and safety ratios. There will only be some staff in school.

Therefore school will be closed  except for certain families who have been contacted and families of key workers who require childcare when working and no other childcare is available. Parents and carers will be required to drop off their children at the school gate and maintain a safe distance of 2 metres from staff.

Children who are eligible for Free School Meals are welcome to order packed lunches by 9.30 a.m. to be collected between 12.00 p.m. and 12.30 p.m. by calling the school office - packed lunches should be collected from the school gates.

We will inform you as soon as we can and will be in contact with the date that we can reopen when we know it, please regularly check our school website home page https://www.stbartholomews.covmat.org/ and our twitter feed https://twitter.com/stbartsacademy.

For any queries, please contact me by email on school.office@StBarts.covmat.org.

We want to make sure that your child can still learn and can use this time away from school productively. We have sent learning packs out with all children, for those who are already at home please call to arrange a time to pick up your child's pack if you wish to.  Do not come into school if you and your family are self isolating. Home learning packs are available on the school website under the school life tab and in each year group.
