Year 6
Welcome to Year 6 – Higgs Class
Welcome to Higgs Class, our Year 6 learning community where children grow as leaders, role models and responsible members of the school. Guided by our St Bart’s vision — Believe. Belong. Become. — we create a calm, purposeful and supportive environment where every child is known, valued and challenged. Our dedicated team — Mr Dewis, Mrs Millington and Miss Williams — support and encourage pupils daily as they take on important Year 6 responsibilities, from helping younger children to representing the school and modelling the highest standards. Year 6 is also a year filled with rich and exciting experiences both inside and outside the classroom. Children take part in a wide range of learning opportunities, including our residential visit to Doly Moch, an immersive World War II day at Holdenby House, PCSO-led sessions on online safety, and inspiring trips to the Natural History Museum in London, Coombe Abbey for our river study, and Coventry Cathedral. Through these memorable experiences, we prepare our children to transition confidently to the next stage of their school life, ensuring that every child thrives and grows in independence, ready for the challenges of Year 7 and beyond. Please feel free to contact us through the Year 6 Class Dojo page or come and say hi to us in the morning or after school as the children leave.
