Nursery Admissions
In Coventry, children can attend a nursery class attached to a primary school the September after their third birthday.
How to apply for a nursery class place
It is advisable to contact us for nursery class places at least a year before your child will start.
Parents/carers need to be aware that it does not matter how early an application is submitted, the place will be allocated against the school's selection criteria.
To apply for a nursery class/school place parents/carers must contact St Barts CofE Academy directly. Parents/carers will be given a form to complete as well as information about how selection for a nursery class/school place is made at our school.
It is important for parents/carers to understand that although there is no catchment area for nursery classes, due to the high level of demand for spaces, schools will have their own selection criteria which will differ at each school.
If you are unsuccessful in securing a place, please do not contact the school's admissions department as they have no input into nursery class/school allocation of places.
Attending a nursery class at a specific school does not guarantee a place at the reception class at the same school.
