Jewellery
Jewellery is not permitted, other than studs for pierced ears. Any child wearing jewellery will be asked to remove it and the item will be kept by the teacher in an envelope, until the end of the day.
PE kit
Children should wear a plain white t-shirt and black shorts, or a tracksuit bottoms for outdoor PE when the weather is colder. No hooded tops for safety purposes, children should wear a red sweat top or fleece to keep warm in the winter. Football shirts should not be worn. A change of footwear should be worn - trainers or pumps. All jewellery should be removed and long hair tied back.
Forgotten PE kit
We do expect children to bring their PE kit to school when needed. Teachers will communicate with parents regarding PE days.
Cold or warm weather
In cold weather, children should wear a warm coat and hats, gloves and scarves may also be worn. In warm weather, children should bring a sun hat for outdoor use. If sun protection lotion is brought to school it should be clearly labelled. Children are responsible for applying sun cream themselves.
Reading bag
When children start at St Bartholomew's, parents can purchase a red reading bag. They
should bring this to school each day until at least the end of Year 2. Replacement bags can be purchased from the office.
Lost property
All uniform, including shoes, should be named. Lost property is kept in school and is disposed of periodically. Please ask the office if you need to access the lost property area.
