Welcome from the Headteacher

It is my absolute privilege to be the Headteacher of St. Bartholomew's Church of England Academy after being part of our St. Bart's family for many years. St. Bart's is a truly special place, and it is a joy to work in partnership with our passionate staff team, families, governors and wider community. Together, we create an environment where pupils feel safe, valued and excited to learn; a place where they are encouraged to grow academically, socially and spiritually.

Everything we do at St. Bart's is underpinned by our Christian Vision: Believe, Belong, Become. This shared vision, together with our Christian cultures, creates a nurturing environment where every child is empowered to thrive, fulfil their potential and become the very best version of themselves. We encourage our pupils to believe in themselves and their God-given potential, to experience a strong sense of belonging within our school family, and to become confident, compassionate individuals who are ready to make a positive difference in the world.

Safeguarding and wellbeing are fundamental to everything we do. We know that children learn best when they are happy, secure and supported. We work hard to establish strong relationships between home and school so that together we can meet the individual needs of every child and help them flourish.

Learning at St. Bart's captivates, excites and challenges our children. We strive to ignite curiosity, extend knowledge and skills, and raise aspirations. Alongside excellent academic opportunities, we encourage children to take on leadership responsibilities and to become outward-facing courageous advocates, making a positive contribution both within school and beyond.

Every day, speaking with our children and their families and walking through our school fills me with pride. It is an honour to be part of their journey and to watch them flourish into confident, resilient and caring young people.
